Virtual Assistant Clinical Director, Binge Eating Disorder Program

100% Remote

Monte Nido has been delivering treatment for eating disorders for over two decades. Our programs offer a model of treatment that blends medically sophisticated care with a personalized treatment approach. Our work is grounded in evidence-based strategies for adults and adolescents suffering from eating disorders. We work from a multi-disciplinary treatment team approach while integrating state-of-the-art medical, psychiatric, nutritional, and clinical strategies to provide comprehensive care within an intimate home setting.

The Virtual Assistant Clinical Director is responsible for all clinical functions of the adult (ages 18+) binge eating disorder (BED) program. Also provides effective leadership to the clinical staff, has knowledge of the organization, provides marketing support for the virtual BED program, and helps direct all activities within Monte Nido & Affiliates in accordance with standards of State and Federal regulations. This position is fully remote with up to semi-annual travel.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Adheres to the program’s philosophy and enforces telehealth etiquette with team and clients.
  • Functions as leader of clinical staff meetings.
  • Assists in implementing plans for performance improvement of staff.
  • Assists in providing for staff development (i.e. supervision, educational, performance improvement).
  • Facilitates communication with ancillary services, e.g. client’s outpatient team.
  • Assists in recruiting and interviewing new hires.
  • Accountable for clients’ attendance, length of stay and program completion within BED program.
  • Attends clinical and administrative meetings to share information inter-departmentally, as needed.
  • Builds positive relationships with staff and clients.
  • Works collaboratively with virtual program leadership, adult general program leaders, and adolescent program leaders.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of administrative and clinical policies and procedures, and the ability to communicate these clearly and accurately to staff.
  • Displays ability to assist in directing and supervising program.
  • Assist in the admission and/or client intake
  • Ensures adequate staffing for program in conjunction with the Executive Director.
  • Models therapeutic eating habits with clients by eating provided programmatic meals and snacks aligned with company’s nutrition philosophy to completion throughout shift.
  • Assists in ensuring clinical staff meets educational/licensure and is adequately staffed across states.
  • Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility to changes in the work.
  • Provides a safe and therapeutic environment to all staff and clients.
  • Assists the Executive Director to ensure that program is operating in line with key performance indicators including attendance, program completion, outcomes collection, admit conversion and utilization.
  • Performs other task, as assigned.
  • Must be available from 11:30am - 8:30 pm EST (8:30am - 5:30pm PST) Monday through Thursday. Can be located in any time zone in the United States.
  • Must be able and willing to get licensed in multiple states (reimbursed by company).

VIRTUAL EMPLOYEES: We have the same expectations for employees as we do for clients. We ask that you always have camera on and join from a private space free from other noises and distractions (e.g. not in car) when meeting with clients or joining a clinical staff meeting. You will need a reliable video conferencing setup including camera, microphone and stable, high speed Internet connection. You will also need to be prepared for a back-up in the event of technology failures. We also expect that you consider your personal appearance in much the same way you would if you were seeing clients in-person. You will also need to keep your background (behind the camera) clean and professional.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in social work, nursing, or related services field. Preference for Registered Dietitian, licensed in any state(s).
  • A minimum of 1 year experience with eating disorder clients. Preferred experience via telehealth.
  • Strongly preferred 1 year experience with binge eating disorder clients.
  • Licensed to practice clinical discipline in the appropriate state, as applicable, required.
  • Knowledge of state licensure requirements as relates to practicing via telehealth
  • Preference for East Coast licensure (NY, NJ, CT, MA).
