Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation, data entry, and document management. This is an on-site, full-time position with responsibilities including tax filing, data entry, and client communication. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
• Prepare and process tax documents, including 1099s, retirement income, and stock transactions. US TAX EXPERIENCE.
• Utilize Drake Software for tax preparation and filing or similar.  
• Perform data entry tasks, including transcribing and entering information from documents into relevant platforms. 
• Review documents and identify missing or incomplete information. 
• Manage client information and interact with clients through email and phone calls. 
• Use QuickBooks (Plus) for bookkeeping and data management. 
• Scan, organize, and upload documents using the designated platform. 
• Maintain an organized tax client hub for managing client data.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office tools. 
• At least 2+ years of experience in tax preparation or related fields. 
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies or missing information. 
• Ability to work with tax-related software, particularly Drake Software or similar, QuickBooks Plus, and other client management tools. 
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
• Ability to handle client interactions via email and phone calls.
