We’re looking for a native English speaker with a technical background and strong communication skills to join our technical support team in a full-time role. Knowledge of the bitcoin mining industry is welcomed, as well as prior experience with customer support or hands on bitcoin mining operations. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be the critical link between our clients and all other company departments. Since most of our clients are U.S. based, you will be working within the U.S. time zone.
The primary focus of the position will be on Braiins OS (Linux-based bitcoin mining firmware) and Braiins Manger (cloud-based solution for monitoring and controlling bitcoin mining operations).
You will work in cmd.exe, use Ubuntu and Linux command line, navigate API setups and remotely connect to our clients’ networks.
You will contribute to both public and private knowledgebases to ensure effective knowledge sharing.
You will help clients to install, configure it and troubleshoot any issues regarding our products (both technical and non-technical) while educating them on our products and their features
You will be in day-to-day contact with numerous significant players in the bitcoin mining industry addressing their Braiins-related needs.
You will engage in continuous knowledge sharing with product and development teams, relaying customer feedback, and contributing to service improvements.
Willingness to travel to data centers to onboard and support clients on-site is a plus.
The Technical Support Specialist uses these skills on a daily basis. While immediate proficiency is not required, familiarity with the following concepts is essential for success in this role.
Understanding of operating systems, particularly Linux-based systems as Braiins OS is based on Linux.
Comprehensive knowledge of mining equipment, including inner workings of ASIC miners, their architecture and performance.
Capability of identifying problems with hardware, network connectivity, firmware compatibility, and software configurations.
Understanding of networking concepts, including IP addressing, subnetting, DHCP, and DNS.
Familiarity with remote access protocols such as SSH (Secure Shell) for troubleshooting and performing administrative tasks on remote mining devices.
Native English proficiency, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work within U.S. time zones.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and through client calls on a daily basis.
A strong technical background with an experience in bitcoin mining and a desire to learn technical aspects of Braiins products.
Ability to learn quickly, proactively, and independently from teammates, product managers, developers, and other internal resources available to you.
Willingness to work during weekends and outside traditional working hours is a plus.
