Position Responsibilities
At Deltek, we are committed to equipping our Customer Success (CS) team with the tools, knowledge, and strategies they need to thrive. As an Instructional Designer, you will play a key role in transforming enablement strategies into engaging, high-impact learning content that empowers our CS team members.
In this role, you will develop interactive e-learning modules, training materials, job aids, videos, and other instructional assets to support CS team onboarding, continuous learning, and skills development. The ideal candidate has a strong background in instructional design, adult learning principles, and content development, with experience leveraging technology to create scalable and engaging learning experiences.
Responsibilities
- Content Development: Design, develop, and maintain engaging learning content, including e-learning modules, interactive courses, instructor-led training (ILT) materials, playbooks, videos, and knowledge resources.
- Instructional Design Strategy: Apply adult learning principles, instructional design best practices, and multimedia techniques to create effective, learner-centered experiences.
- Collaboration with Enablement Team: Work closely with stakeholders to translate enablement strategies and training needs into structured, high-impact learning content.
- Technology & Platform Utilization: Leverage LMS platforms, video editing software, and e-learning tools to develop and deliver engaging training experiences.
- Content Customization & Localization: Adapt learning materials to various skill levels, geographies, and learning styles to ensure relevance and accessibility.
- Assess & Improve Learning Content: Continuously evaluate training effectiveness using feedback, assessments, and engagement metrics to optimize learning experiences.
- Knowledge Management: Maintain an organized and up-to-date repository of training content, ensuring CSMs have easy access to critical learning resources.
- Industry & Learning Trends: Stay current on innovations in instructional design, learning technologies, and best practices to enhance training effectiveness.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in instructional design, learning & development, or training content creation, preferably in a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
- Strong expertise in instructional design, including adult learning principles, content structuring, and learner engagement strategies.
- Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia) and experience optimizing content for LMS platforms.
- Ability to develop visually appealing, concise, and effective learning materials.
- Strong collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally with enablement leaders, SMEs, and stakeholders.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Compensation Information
The U.S. salary range for this position is $46,500.00 - $75,000.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
