The
Vice President, US Retail Stores – East Zone will be a catalyst for the Pittsburgh Paints Company US retail stores team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to make an impact and will help shape the future of the team! You will manage a $300 million sales territory that stretches from Chicago to Boston encompassing 200 company stores and 600+ employees.
You will report to our SVP-US Trade and can be based remotely anywhere in the Northeast. You will join a culture and collaborative leadership team that values innovation and winning.
Key Responsibilities
Drive sales growth and profitability for the East zone:
- Work with senior leadership to build and execute a sales strategy for the zone.
- Win new business and build strong customer relationships with key customers.
- Build and coach strong selling skills across the team.
- Engage the team to drive performance and career development.
- Own total responsibility for both sales and operations for assigned zone including profit and loss statement, sales, retail stores, personnel, and inventory; ensure sales and profit objectives for the zone are achieved.
Measure What Matters
- Use market research and data to evaluate trends and stay ahead of the competition.
- Use sales reports to track performance and identify opportunities for growth.
Energize and grow your team
- Lead, coach, and develop an accomplished and high-energy sales team.
- Partner with marketing, supply chain and other functions to reach your sales goals.
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by maintaining company standards regarding employee and community safety, health, and environmental issues.
Qualifications
- Sales leader with 15+ years of dynamic sales and operations experience
- Bachelor’s degree in industry related field.
- Directly manage a large team of direct reports and about 600 indirect reports.
- Exceptional leadership skills and a desire to inspire, coach and develop others to reach their potential.
- Experience building relationships with customers, partners and your team.
- Ability to travel up to 75%, within the East zone territory.
