Maersk Ground Freight (MGF) offers transportation services like FTL (Full Truckload), LTL (Less Than Truckload), brokerage, cross-border trucking, groupage, and sortation hubs, connecting Maersk or Customer warehouses or depots or cross-dock/consolidation/deconsolidation facilities through a robust network led by best-in-class operations and technology. This integrated network will service multi-channels like B2B, B2C, B2B2C, e-commerce, direct to store, dropship, returns, and more, leveraging asset-based, asset-light, and non-asset models.

Summary:

The Operational Excellence Project Manager drives and supports a standardized approach project management and initiative tracking across MFG Operations. The role will be crucial to drive standardization, optimize the MOS, improve metrics (page0 and input) including data products, drive network optimization initiatives and other Operational Excellence efforts.

Location: Fully remote anywhere in the U.S.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project across OpsEx to include new equipment, new site moves/open/closure. Identify and provide requirements across Regional MGF for data products to support the different user-groups and ensure adoption of new data products.
  • Own the OPEX piece of MOS to support the teams locally and ensure that we move in a direction of structurally solved challenges rather than fire-fighting.
  • Coordinate with teams to support global initiatives, identify and provide resource support, track initiatives and impact on GP and EBIT initiatives.
  • Drive standardized Operational Excellence across the Regional MGF Operations organization to ensure process alignment, standardization and network optimization.
  • Collect feedback from Communities, SMEs etc. to ensure that the engagement model is continuously improved.

  • Process and System Optimization

  • Continuously improve the role charts/capabilities/competencies across TbM CD
  • Cross-Product Subhauler Management 
  • Cross-Product Driver Management
  • Compliance Audit – SOPs, KPI, Revenue recognition timeliness

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in the industry

Pay Range:        

$110,000-$120,000
 

*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location.  The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
