Summary
The Chief Growth Officer (CGO) is responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives and increasing market share within the TPA medical insurance space. This executive will oversee sales & marketing, and lead efforts to identify new opportunities, expand the client base, and enhance revenue generation. The CGO will work closely with cross-functional teams to align growth strategies with operational capabilities and market demands.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Growth and Market Expansion in coordination with the Chief strategy Officer:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy focused on increasing revenue, market share, and profitability.
- Identify new business opportunities, including partnerships, to accelerate growth.
- Lead market analysis to assess industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities in the TPA and medical insurance sectors.
Sales and Business Development:
- Oversee the sales team to drive new client acquisition and maximize existing broker relationships.
- Set sales targets, develop incentive plans, and monitor performance against growth objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers for self-funded employers, and other vended partners.
Marketing and Brand Positioning:
- Develop and oversee strategic marketing initiatives to position the company as a leading TPA in the healthcare industry.
- Enhance brand recognition and market presence through targeted campaigns, industry events, and thought leadership.
- Leverage data and market insights to refine product and service offerings in response to client needs and industry changes.
Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing sales, marketing teams.
- Foster collaboration across departments to align growth strategies with operational capacity and client expectations.
- Work closely with the CEO and executive team to drive organizational alignment and strategic focus.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of executive leadership experience in sales, business development, or growth strategy within the healthcare or insurance industry (TPA experience strongly preferred).
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and expanding market share in a competitive environment. Deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, including self-funded insurance plans, provider networks, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical thinking skills
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment
