Front End Engineer (React)

Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop and implement new features for our web applications 
• Contribute to front-end development using React JS, JavaScript, jQuery 
• Work with SQL databases for data storage and retrieval  
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices and coding standards  
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues  
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline processes  
• Create solutions and designs for medium complexity, well-defined problems  
• Write unit tests and integration tests for code and functionality  
• Triage failures and find root cause analysis for low to medium complexity issues  
• Take ownership of tasks and actively engage in team decisions  
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts 
• Develop and integrate GIS-based solutions using ArcGIS JavaScript API 

Required Skills and Experience: 

• 2-5 years of professional software development experience 
• Strong proficiency in React, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML and CSS 
• Experience with modern frontend development workflows and tools 
• Familiarity with cloud operations and deployment (e.g., Azure, AWS) 
• In-depth knowledge of agile methodologies and best practices 
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills 
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks, React 
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker) 
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices 
• Experience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks 
• Experience with ArcGIS JS API for developing mapping applications 

Education: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
