Job description

Overview:

Spathe is currently searching for a Solution Architect to join our team in the Tampa, FL area.

 

Spathe Systems is a rapidly growing SOF led, 8(a) defense contractor headquartered in Tampa, FL with offices in Fayetteville, NC and strategic partner locations in Virginia Beach and Coronado. As a small business with a tight knit family feel, Spathe empowers its employees to solve problems and make decisions.

Responsibilities:

The Solution Architect reports to the Vice President of Solution Development and provides support to the Business Development department of SPATHE Systems. They will analyze business needs, identify technical solutions, and design comprehensive plans for implementation including technical delivery, skill sourcing, and basis of estimates. They collaborate closely with teams such as technical subject matter experts, program managers, human resources, contracting, and finance to ensure effective implementation of a solution and achieving organizational objectives. They must possess the aptitude, knowledge, interpersonal skills, and ability necessary to perform the following tasks:

  • Identify potential technology, opportunity management, and business process solutions.
  • Design and implement appropriate or chosen solutions ensuring the solution meets performance, scalability, and security requirements.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure successful implementation including providing technical guidance and support to development teams.
  • Evaluate solution effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to achieve full operational capability by participating in continuous improvement of solution and its components.
  • Respond to customer requirements showcasing the company’s capabilities through White Paper development, Request for Information and Sources Sought responses, and unsolicited proposal submissions.
  • Possess highly developed business analysis skills in consulting to identify business and technical requirements and formulate solutions to complex business problems.
  • Provide technical leadership for solution development, guiding design/development activities and reviewing product deliverables for functional, performance and architectural conformance.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the customer’s business and be able to dive deep into technology/business issues to align business goals and the IT infrastructure to achieve the goals of the customer.
  • Support Business Development activities through customer engagement, opportunity assessment, opportunity qualification, and solution/proposal development.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Business or equivalent + 15-18 years of experience in Information Technology, Program Management, systems management, solution development or a similar role
  • Possess appropriate security credentials to respond to classified requirements.
  • Must possess active Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Appropriate discipline professional certification or professional accreditation
  • Full technical knowledge of all phases of IT Service Management
  • Expert communication skills
  • Can effectively provide direction and guidance to less experienced staff.
  • Can create effective and clear user documentation.
  • Must be able to write and evaluate complex programs/systems/applications that contribute to effective hardware and software operating systems.
  • Detail oriented and organized; able to understand delivery solutions and ensure accuracy of work.
  • Able to review the work of others and detect errors or needed modifications.
  • Able to identify and resolve problems or inadequacies of systems engineering.

 Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • ITIL v4 Certification preferred.
  • SCRUM Master Certification preferred.
