Senior Accountant

Job Description:

This is a 100% remote position however, currently we are unable to consider candidates for remote opportunities in the following states: California, Hawaii, Illinois, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Connecticut and Washington.

This position may provide support to a facility, region, or division, or work as part of a system-wide team. Requires no supervision for routine tasks. Management oversight is generally limited to task review and complicated problems.

• Understands and explains all aspects of the accounting process.
• Performs routine and non-routine accounting tasks requiring in-depth analysis.
• Acts as an accounting technical resource to others.
• Understands and explains the interrelationship of accounting with non-finance areas of the company.
• Provides expertise in applying generally accepted accounting principles to all phases of accounting operations.
• May act as a mentor to other members of accounting services.
• Responsible for in-depth analysis and critical accounting entries during the month-end close and financial statement review. May have responsibility for the month-end close of a business unit.
• May have responsibility for training, coordinating, and reviewing work of others.
• May be a project lead or perform supervisory duties.
• Assists in the preparation of audit schedules.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, with four years of professional accounting experience. - Or - Master's degree with two years of experience. (Master of Business Administration or Master of Accountancy). Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA
• Masters of Accountancy
• Certified Public Accountant
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Experience with EPIC

Physical Requirements:

• Interact with others requiring the employee to communicate information.
• Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
• See and read computer monitors and documents.
• Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
