To provide Accounting, taxation, and company secretarial services to IGnite Accounting clients. To ensure assigned clients are compliant by meeting deadlines set by the Income tax assessment act and the corporations act, ensuring work provided to clients is complete, accurate and timely.
Provide support to the senior accountant through assigned tasks and provide cover when there is holiday leave or sick leave buy the senior accountant or other assistant accountants.

Person profile – Accountant
Success measure: The Accountant will be measured on the quality of work assigned, meeting assigned deadlines and ensuring that client affairs are completed in a timely manner. As such, hours of work each day is not considered a measurable output of quality and results will be the sole measure used to assess the individual’s performance in the position.
Personal Situation: Must be mature and domestically secure. Able to commute reliably to office base. Able to work extended hours on occasions when required. May be striving financially but not desperate or in serious debt
Specific Job Skills: Able to communicate and motivate via written media. Understands the principles of accounting, taxation and law. Appreciates need for consistency within practice procedures and processes along with experience in managing quality of practice information.
Computer skills: Must be adept in use of MS Office 2010 or later, particularly Excel and Word, Internet and email.
Literacy and Numeracy: Able to understand profit and loss calculations and basic business finance, e.g., gross margin percentages and calculations, depreciation, capital and revenue expenditure, cashflow, overheads, etc. Must be a very competent writer of business letters, quotations and proposal
Business and Selling Skills: Must be an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator. Able to demonstrate success and experience managing customers. Ideal background would be someone with 2 to 4 years’ experience in a small practice dealing with clients on a daily basis.
Management Ability: Person is not expected to have management experience but will be required to assist managing the Senior accountant and other assistant accountants in managing their daily demands. This is called managing the manager
