Job Summary:

 

We are seeking a dedicated and talented Executive Director of Creative to join our team. In this role, you will lead all creative efforts and outputs across LBP hair brands.

As a member of both IGK and R+Co teams, you will collaborate with the marketing and PD teams and report directly to the Brand President of IGK.

 

REMOTE: This role is classified as exempt from the Fair Labor Standard Act’s overtime requirement, is remote, and open to candidates based in the United States. The position requires working in CT hours, so candidates located on the East Coast are preferred. The work environment is primarily remote, requiring reliable internet access and a dedicated workspace free from significant distractions.

 

What You’ll Do:

 

Essential Job Functions

 

  • Lead all creative efforts and outputs across LBP hair brands, serving as the creative steward of our brands’ visual identities across brand touchpoints: 360 marketing assets and content, visual merchandising, and brand design
  • Develop, lead, and inspire in-house and external creative teams to execute creative projects at a high level of excellence and productivity
  • Ensure global consistency across our consumer touchpoints: editorial campaign assets, visual merchandising, digital advertising, digital assets, and social assets and content
  • Innovate and execute breakthrough brand initiatives and launches with disruptive campaigns and fresh expressions of the brands, yet maintaining a consistent brand DNA.
  • For IGK only, lead product and packaging design that drives business goals.
  • Provide art direction on set at Photoshoots to ensure our creative content propels business goals while also meeting high standards for creative excellence. Guide all pre- & post- production for campaigns, video, social and ecommerce related to the Photoshoots.
  • Own and innovate in-store visual merchandising which balances brand expression with business goals
  • Manage, update, and maintain brand guidelines as they evolve with the businesses
  • Must be able to work collaboratively across the creative journey with business stakeholders, cross functional partners, stylists, and internal and external creative talent to drive alignment and maintain high creative standards

  • 8+ years of experience in creative direction, preferably within the beauty, fashion, CPG, or luxury goods industry, with a strong portfolio that showcases successes
  • A Proven Creative Leader: You have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Marketing, etc.)
  • A Strategic Thinker: You can effectively translate brand values and marketing objectives into impactful visual campaigns that resonate with target audiences across multiple digital channels.
  • A Team Player: You thrive in collaborative environments and have a proven ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve outstanding creative work.
  • A Communication Master: You can articulate complex creative ideas clearly and persuasively, building consensus and buy-in from stakeholders at all levels, including Marketing, Trade Marketing, Consumer Engagement, Packaging, and In-Store Design.
  • A Trendsetter: You have your finger on the pulse of visual communication trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, always seeking innovative ways to elevate brands.
  • An Expert Technician: You have substantial knowledge of pre-production, production, post production, retouching and proofing. You are proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Figma.

 

Team Leadership & Oversight

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Requirements

This role requires the following physical capabilities:

 

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, twist, and squat to adjust or position equipment, cameras, or set up for events.
  • Prolonged periods standing, bending, stooping, and reaching
  • Must be able to travel frequently, sometimes requiring long periods of driving or riding in a vehicle.
  • Must be able to focus on detailed work for extended periods, which may lead to eye strain or fatigue.
  • Must be able to perform tasks that require fine motor skills, including typing and using a mouse.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, often time-sensitive environment.
