The Western Central Europe (WCE) Communications Leader is responsible for delivering strategic communications priorities with a strong focus on Executive Communications, including corporate reputation, employee engagement, issues management, and sustainability and social impact communications in WCE.

The primary purpose of the role is to deliver integrated cluster communications programs that drive employee understanding and alignment to business priorities and build employee pride and advocacy in close partnership with key leaders.

The secondary purpose of the role is to drive thought leadership through external stakeholder engagements with the goal of building, enhancing and protecting Kimberly-Clark and its brands’ reputation.

Your Responsibility:

Internal Communications

  • Cluster Town Halls
  • Cluster annual Leadership Kick-offs and mid-year meetings
  • WCE newsletter
  • Stories from Countries & Mills for K-C Now, EM Newsletter and EM Yammer Cluster & Country videos and visual materials Collaboration with HR and leaders on promoting winning culture, people agenda and DEI Support with WCE People Awards in collaboration with HR

Executive Communications

  • Support WCE VP communications
  • Support EM WCE LTs - coaching, briefing, leading/consulting on EM/WCE narrative, team engagement campaigns/projects

 External communications

  • Propose and/or support thought-leadership programmes to amplify and promote industry-leading business strategies including but not limited to media engagements, associations or industry bodies, government, forums and conferences.
  • Drive and/or support awards submission for corporate, brand and employer branding agenda
  • Collaborate with NGOs to drive our ESG agenda

Crisis communications

  • Identify, monitor, and create mitigation plans for potential issues in WCE Manage crisis communications together with the EM and global comms team

You will need the following Qualification:  

  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication in English: Ability to convey messages clearly and effectively.
  • Strategic Thinking: Developing and implementing communication strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Project Management: Working across complex markets and businesses next to Project ManagementDigital Literacy: Canva, Social Chorus, social media, and the usual PPT, Word, Excel.
  • Crisis Management: Experience in handling communication during crises.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.

This is a fixed-term role until 31/12/2025.
