A New Drug Application for tenapanor for hyperphosphatemia has been submitted in China with Fosun Pharma. Knight Therapeutics commercializes IBSRELA in Canada.
 
Purpose of the role:
 
Ardelyx is seeking a passionate individual who works with integrity and determination, to make a difference for patients. Reporting to the Senior Director, Patient Advocacy Renal, the State Alliance Manager will be responsible for engaging state and local renal advocates, across the Eastern US, to execute patient centric programs in close alignment with our renal business leaders.  This person will skillfully build and engage a community of advocates across their assigned region to support the needs of patients and advance our company’s goals.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Build and expand relationships with renal patient advocates and advocacy groups across the assigned region
  • Drive the strategic planning and execution of disease-focused advocacy initiatives that align with Ardelyx's patient-first mission and cross-functional goals
  • Monitor program effectiveness by tracking key performance indicators and providing regular updates on strategy, charitable giving, advocacy involvement, and budget management
  • Organize and lead patient-centric events, forums, panels, and meetings to foster trust and community engagement with patients and advocacy organizations
  • Develop and manage high-quality educational materials, tools, and programs aimed at enhancing patient engagement, ensuring clear and impactful communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders 
  • Represent Ardelyx at key advocacy events, strengthening relationships within the patient advocacy community and reinforcing the company's commitment to patient-centered innovation 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of patient advocacy or related experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Will consider 12+ years of community engagement and advocacy directed activities will be considered in lieu of college degree
  • Proven ability to create results within the context of relationship management
  • Excellent communication skills, adaptability in high-pressure environments, and expertise in strategic planning and stakeholder relationship management across a diverse range of partners
  • A high level of energy and passion toward patients, science and public health
  • Proven teamwork and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to interact and influence all levels of business
  • Passion, dedication and commitment to patient centricity
  • A desire to work in the corporate culture of a highly innovative company aimed at redefining health and transforming lives with new medicines
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
The anticipated annualized base pay range for this full-time position is $139,00-$169,000. Ardelyx utilizes industry data to ensure that our compensation is competitive and aligned with our industry peers. Actual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include an annual bonus target and equity awards, subject to eligibility and other requirements.
