JOB DESCRIPTION
The Epic Analyst at Myriad Genetics is a strategic role focused on executing and supporting the Epic Aura integration as we expand our product offerings and increase our customer impact.
In this position, you will manage Myriad’s instance of Epic, ensuring all configurations and user requirements align with the needs of both our end users and our business.You’ll play a crucial role in customer integration projects, working closely with customer analysts to build, test, and troubleshoot systems through the Go-Live phase.
Collaboration is key in this role, as you will partner with various internal teams, including the commercial team to understand customer needs and challenges.You will also work alongside engineering and product management teams to ensure that Epic workflows integrate smoothly with our downstream systems, enabling internal stakeholders to process tests effectively.
Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert for Epic workflows at Myriad, facilitating communication and understanding between technical and operational teams.
- Partner with customer analysts, Myriad teams, and Epic representatives to ensure Epic Aura integrations meet project timelines and deliverables.
- Lead the design and development of workflows, oversee system testing, and address technical issues related to Epic software for new projects or process improvements.
- Work closely with engineering, commercial, operational teams, and other Epic specialists to troubleshoot and resolve issues with Epic integrations.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve Epic workflows and the user experience, based on client feedback and evolving business needs.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree; Degree in IT, business, or healthcare field, or equivalent experience Preferred
- Active Epic certification in EpicCare Ambulatory, Beaker, Order Transmittal, and/or Care Everywhere.
- Experience working with Epic applications.
- Demonstrated ability to be self-directed with excellent organizational, analytical, writing, interpersonal, and project-related skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate at multiple organizational levels, both within the organization and with external entities such as hospitals, healthcare practices, and EMR vendors.
Preferred:
- 5+ years of experience working with Epic applications.
- Epic Aura integration experience.
- Experience with HL7, Mirth, Jira/Confluence, and Salesforce.
- Experience with genomics labs.
Physical Requirements
Lifting Requirements – light work or exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical Requirements – stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating, observing, pushing, or pulling, and reaching. Use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions.
