Job Title: Remote Head of Property Development (100% Work From Home)

Location: Remote from Latin America

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: $5,000 USD monthly, negotiable depending on experience

Schedule: Monday - Friday, business hours Mountain Time


Job Overview:

Our client is a dynamic real estate investor, developer, and operator focusing on self-storage properties. With seven properties under management and an ambitious goal to scale to over 100 properties within the next three years, the company is seeking a dedicated team member to help drive their growth.


Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Execution: Oversee all phases of self-storage ground-up development in Colorado, from pre-construction planning to project closeout, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Contractor & Vendor Management: Select, negotiate, and manage contracts with general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants, ensuring compliance with project specifications and local regulations.
  • Permitting & Regulatory Compliance: Navigate Colorado's zoning laws, building codes, and permitting processes, coordinating with local authorities to secure necessary approvals and inspections.
  • Budgeting & Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-control measures to maintain financial efficiency while ensuring high-quality construction.
  • Risk Management & Problem-Solving: Identify and mitigate potential risks, resolve construction challenges proactively, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Qualifications, Skills, and Key Competencies:


  • Prior experience working for a US company managing or working in/around real estate development
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Ability to manage projects with minimum supervision
  • Previous experience in project management, preferably in the real estate industry (property management and supervision)
  • Bonus points for prior self-storage development experience
