Job Overview
The Project Manager, Corporate Program Development EU oversees multiple projects within SCS Global Services Europe, focusing on accredited and regulatory programs like CBAM, IMS, and EUDR. Responsible for planning, scheduling, execution, and budget adherence, the Project Manager ensures successful program launches and operations by coordinating with colleagues and providing regular progress updates to management.
As part of the SCS Global Services Europe team, the Project Manager works closely with managers across entities and reports to the Director, Corporate Program Development EU. The role requires comprehension of standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 17029, and ISO 45001, along with a strong understanding of the EU regulatory landscape. Key skills include analytical thinking, problem solving, risk management, change management, internal auditing, and attention to detail. Strong communication and adaptability are essential for liaising across all organizational levels and staying current with industry best practices. The Project Manager supports business development, drives sales goals, and ensures effective client communication, record maintenance, and audit coordination for these emerging programs.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Program Development and Operations
- Lead the execution and scaling of EUDR Verification Services and EU Integrated Management Systems programs
- Lead the planning and execution of EU Regulatory services such as CBAM
- Ensure clear communication of project expectations and updates to internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables while managing scope changes and potential risks
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with strategic goals
- Optimize project management processes to meet completion and revenue targets in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Develop and implement internal procedures, guidelines, and training to support program quality and operational efficiency
- Oversee regulatory, accreditation, and standards compliance, staying up to date with evolving requirements
- Lead business development, including new business service rollouts, software/IT platform improvements, user training, and adoption; ensure business development translates to sales
- Recruit, train, and manage auditors and verifiers to ensure effective program execution
- Balance multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality project completion and delivery
- Ensure program compliance with accreditation requirements through collaboration with Quality Assurance teams
Client and Financial Management
- Engage with subsidiaries, HQ teams, clients, and verifiers/auditors, providing guidance on program requirements and verification/certification processes
- Assist in client inquiries, contract negotiations, scoping, pricing, and scheduling of audits/verifications
- Maintain a consistent audit/verification project pipeline to support financial goals and program timelines
- Contribute to pricing strategies and revenue planning, adjusting as needed for profitability
- Oversee accurate billing, invoicing, and fee management for accreditation and certification/verification services
- Assist in addressing client and partner complaints, escalating as necessary for resolution
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. natural resources, health and safety engineering, financial auditing, sustainability, etc.) and
- 2+ years of experience involving managing projects
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in a relevant industry
- Professional experience in third-party certification, auditing, or public policy
- Well-developed organizational and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with changing priorities
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Professional proficiency in multiple languages; English required
- Ability to work across time zones
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, and project management software such as Asana or Jira
- Initiative, good judgment, and ability to prioritize under pressure in a changing environment
- Ability to think strategically and align actions to identified strategic goals
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. natural resources, health and safety engineering, financial auditing, sustainability, etc.)
- Auditor qualification in a relevant scheme

Working Remotely
SCS is recruiting all open roles to be remote; allowing our employees the ability to work flexibly and allowing SCS as a company to diversify the experience and perspectives of our growing workforce. This is a home-office based role and may include travel with local, domestic, and/or international trips. Details will be clarified during the recruitment process.
