General Summary

We are looking for motivated Linux Kernel Software Engineer to join the Qualcomm Infrastructure Wi-Fi Connectivity group, to be part of defining the next generation WLAN products. As part of this group, you will be responsible for:

Work with the Opensource community and Qualcomm upstream wireless ath12k driver to contribute and review patches
Work with a kenel.org project and support upstreaming efforts including maintenance and branch management using git tool
Work with multiple cross-functional driver teams in creating and reviewing kernel/user software interfaces, protocol features, bug fixes, automated tests
Work with connectivity technologies (Ethernet, Wi-Fi - 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be, Bluetooth etc.)
Work with the largest Wi-Fi AP vendors in the world to design and develop tomorrow’s next-gen Wi-Fi products
Knowledge of wired/wireless technologies and IP networking is highly desirable, but not necessary

Must Have Skill/experience

9+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++
Experience with Linux kernel development including the coding style and patch-based distributed development model
Exposure or experience working with Networking protocols/Embedded Systems

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with the one or more of the following

C and C++ programming skills
Linux tools like git, gitolite
Linux kernel internals, multi-threading and locking
Networking drivers and protocol stacks

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

3+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Pay Range And Other Compensation & Benefits

$180,600.00 - $271,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
