Digital Integration Engineer

Location: NHS Trust (South East) Remote working after initial site visit

Salary: £53,755 Per Annum

Contract Type: Permanent / Fixed Term (24 months)

About The Role

An NHS Trust in the South East is seeking a Digital Integration Engineer to join its innovative Electronic Patient Record (EPR) programme. This is a UK-first project integrating Acute, Mental Health, and Community services into a single, cohesive digital system.

As a key member of the Development and Innovation Team, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Trust Integration Engines (TIEs), working with HL7, FHIR, and databases to enhance system interoperability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and implement integration solutions within the Trusts digital strategy.
  • Support the Trust Integration Engine (TIE) for seamless clinical data exchange.
  • Analyse user requirements and provide technical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with NHS standards and best practices.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Expertise in system integration within healthcare IT (HL7, FHIR, SQL).
  • Strong understanding of TIE development and support.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, optimise, and document integration solutions.
  • Experience working in Agile, PRINCE2, or ITIL frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
