🔍 What we are looking for

The Sales Team at Smartex is committed to building strong partnerships to drive innovation, data-led decisions & sustainable solutions in the textile industry.

Smartex is transforming textile manufacturing with AI-driven automation, bringing efficiency, traceability, and waste reduction at scale. As we move from factory-by-factory adoption to industry-wide mandates, we seek a Senior Business Developer in Asia (open to different locations) to lead partnerships with top fashion brands, garment factories, and sourcing hubs.

This role is mission-critical in shaping Smartex as the industry standard—connecting factories, brands, and sustainability goals in the region. If you’re passionate about the textile industry and eager to drive impact, join us in this dynamic, mission-driven environment!


👇Responsibilities

  • Own and execute Smartex’s go-to-market strategy in Asia, leading brand & supplier adoption in key sourcing hubs (Hong Kong, Bangladesh, Vietnam, China, India).
  • Develop high-impact relationships with global fashion brands, sourcing hubs, and top-tier garment factories to drive Smartex’s TopDown strategy across Asia.
  • Drive revenue growth by executing strategic sales plans while developing existing and new local distribution partners.
  • Develop and negotiate contracts, pricing strategies, and partnership agreements.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and represent Smartex at key trade shows and events.


🛠️ Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Textile Engineering or similar;
  • 5-10 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or partnerships in the textile industry, industrial automation, or SaaS in traditional B2B industries.
  • Proven track record of driving sales and expanding markets in Asia.
  • Strong network within textile manufacturing hubs (e.g., China, Bangladesh, India, Vietnam, Indonesia, or Sri Lanka).
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for disruptive technology and sustainability.
  • Fluent in English (mandatory); proficiency in another regional language is a plus (e.g. Mandarin, Vietnamese, Hindi)
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the region (50% travel).
