Summary

The USA TODAY NETWORK National Sales team is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic Digital Account Executive to be an exceptional addition to our growing National team.

  • ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE – NATIONAL
  • MARKET: Miami, Florida; Full time remote position with some travel
  • Compensation: Base Salary + Uncapped Commission, benefits, expenses, unlimited vacation, and more.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive digital advertising sales, while meeting and exceeding all sales goals.
  • Focus on identified client direct and named agencies for new revenue opportunities.
  • Work as a partner to help clients reach their goals and initiatives.
  • Manage, renew, and up-sell existing clients.
  • Collaborate with Client Solutions and Account Management to prepare proposals and respond to RFPs with a high degree of professionalism, quality, and in a timely manner.
  • Participate and represent Gannett and USA TODAY at industry events.
  • Work with partner teams to ensure that clients' KPIs/needs are met.
  • Stay current on online advertising trends and innovations.

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum of 3 years of digital advertising sales experience (high impact, banners, pre-roll, branded content, etc), off-platform social, and experiential, event sponsorships).
  • Established relationships with advertising agencies and brands is preferred.
  • Experience in Travel, Hospitality, Finance, Luxury Brands, Education, Healthcare and financial services preferred.
  • Highly skilled in negotiating and selling the intrinsic value of a premium offering to customers, not just the program or price.
  • Prospecting and cold calling skills are necessary.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, exciting environment while managing multiple priorities and maintaining an unwavering commitment to quality.
  • Stellar written communication and presentation skills.
  • A strong team player with the ability to lead by example.
  • Technology: proficient with salesforce, MediaRadar, and SellerCrowd preferred
  • BS/BA degree.

The annualized base salary for this role will range between $70,000 and $90,000. Base compensation is reflective of many factors, including, but not limited to, the market in which one lives/works, individual education level, skills, certifications and experience. Note: variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable. TCC at goal based on above base is $116K-$150,000. Commission is uncapped.
