Position Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project manager to lead our product development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of market dynamics, including competitor analysis, and will be adept at gathering and incorporating customer feedback. This role involves developing comprehensive project charters and timelines to ensure successful product development and specification delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Competitor Analysis: Conduct thorough research to understand competitors’ products, strategies, and marketing positioning. Use this information to inform product development and strategic decisions.
Customer Input: Engage with potential customers to gather insights and feedback on product needs and preferences. Incorporate this input into the product development process to ensure customer satisfaction and market relevance.
Project Charter Development: Create detailed project charters that outline the scope, objectives, deliverable, and key milestones for product development projects.
Timeline Management: Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring all phases of product development are completed on schedule. Monitor progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, including progress, challenges, and any changes to the project plan.
Required Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
5+ years of project management experience. Experience in manufacturing, HVAC/R, industrial equipment or data center infrastructure.
PMP certification highly preferred.
Proven experience as a Project Manager in product development a plus.
Strong analytical and research skills.
Exposure to commercial experience a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
