Job description

Alpha CRC is a leading Language Service Provider (LSP) with a global presence, offering cutting-edge localization and translation solutions to businesses worldwide.

We are looking for a linguist with a passion for translating from English to Traditional Chinese for the Taiwanese market, strong organizational skills, and experience working with translation technologies.

The successful applicant will be working alongside an international and diverse team of linguists. A tech savvy linguist, you work independently, understand priorities, and can quickly shift activities.

The role is multidimensional and will involve supporting the team with translation, terminology management, training of a neural machine translation engine, and post-editing of machine translated content.

Tasks

Translating content from English into Traditional Chinese

Post-editing of machine translated documentation from English into Traditional Chinese

Training neural machine translation engine to improve output

Researching terminology and building/maintaining terminology databases

Maintaining close co-operation with our other translation team members

Linguistic testing of translated software

Quality assurance of published documentation

Requirements

Translators must master the target language at mother-tongue level

Excellent grammar and fluent writing style

Translation qualification and minimum of two years’ experience

Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to learn quickly, pivot easily, and be agile

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to plan, prioritize and organize your own work

Strong focus on quality

Tech savvy and quick learner

Experience with CAT Tools and Machine translation (including training and post-editing)

Experience with Software Localization (L10N) and Internationalization (I18N)
