Job description

Soni is currently looking for a Conflicts Analyst to support a global Law Firm. The position is a long-term, open-ended temporary role that sits remotely. The Conflicts Analyst is responsible for the identification, analysis, and resolution of all conflicts requests, using independent judgment and demonstrating a thorough understanding of the business needs when clearing incoming work and candidates. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:


Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and process all conflict requests to ensure firm engagements and hires are clear from a business and ethical perspective.
  • Prepare database search terms and create conflicts reports for related parties, including high volume, bulk searches.
  • Perform corporate research to confirm the identity of related parties and address potential conflicts or high-profile issues.
  • Identify existing and potential conflicts by reviewing and analyzing conflicts reports and supporting documents.
  • Prepare concise, comprehensive descriptions of prospective conflicts landscape based on professional conduct rules.
  • Interact regularly with partners to investigate and discuss potential issues and propose solutions for conflict clearances.


Requirements:

  • 2+ years in a law firm setting handling conflicts
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to process conflict requests independently.
  • Experience in corporate research and understanding of legal ethics.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with partners and firm attorneys.
  • Ability to prepare detailed reports and summaries based on conflicts analysis.


Compensation: $35-50/hr

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
