Job Description

  • HR Compliance
  • Ensure the organization complies with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including EEOC, FLSA, FMLA, and OSHA.
  • Develop, implement, and update HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook to align with current legal standards.
  • Conduct audits of HR processes to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Stay updated on employment legislation changes and recommend necessary adjustments to policies and practices.
  • Manage compliance training programs, including anti-harassment, diversity, and workplace safety.
  • Employee Relations
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints and allegations, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
  • Mediate disputes between employees or between employees and management to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and collaboration through consistent communication and programs.
  • Provide guidance to managers on effective employee relations practices, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
  • HR Support and Development
  • Assist in performance review processes, ensuring consistency and adherence to company standards.
  • Partner with leadership to design initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Assist in employee engagement programs, including surveys and feedback collection.
  • Generate reports and metrics on compliance, employee relations trends, and workforce data to support decision-making.

QualificationsRequired

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of HR experience with a focus on compliance and employee relations, preferably in IT staffing or a related industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of federal and state labor laws and regulations.
  • Strong conflict resolution, mediation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred: - HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.

  • Experience with HRIS systems and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Familiarity with IT staffing industry dynamics and challenges.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
