What We Are Looking For

As the Merchandising Coordinator, you will oversee key merchandising operations, including inventory management, purchase orders, logistics, and point-of-sale (POS) system maintenance. You will also work closely with vendors, planners, and National Directors to ensure seamless merchandise operations for Star Dance Alliance events. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple merchandising tasks efficiently.

In This Role, You Will

Merchandise & Inventory Management:

  • Place orders for accessories for both Star Dance Alliance (SDA) and Break the Floor (BTF) merchandise.
  • Place reorders with vendors as needed to maintain stock levels.
  • Manage SDA purchase orders and ensure accuracy in processing.
  • Oversee SDA inventory logistics, including tracking shipments and restocks.
  • Manage the SDA POS system, including entering inventory and processing weekly restocks.

Event & Operational Support

  • Attend and support SDA events as needed.
  • Work with National Directors to gather feedback and implement merchandising improvements.
  • Collaborate with the planner to manage inventory levels, markdowns, reorders, and margin tracking.
  • Order giveaway shirts and promotional items for SDA events.

Administrative & System Management

  • Manage SDA-related tasks on Monday.com to ensure seamless execution.
  • Train Weekend Warriors before the season starts, ensuring they are prepared for merchandising operations.

What You Need

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 1-2 years of experience in merchandising, inventory management, or logistics.
  • Experience in the live events or entertainment industry is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and inventory management/POS systems (Square, Shopify, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors, planners, and National Directors.
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for event check-ins and on-site support.

  • Physical requirements of this position include but are not limited to computer use, screen time, sitting, standing, walking, bending, pushing/pulling, and lifting up to 30 lbs. unassisted, fine motor skills, and visual and hearing abilities.
