This position can be based in Austin, TX or New York, NY. Remote candidates with exceptional insurance capital management experience will be considered. Occasional travel to New York is required.
Salary is generally in the $150k range with a bonus on top
The Senior Actuarial Associate/Manager FP&A and Capital Management role involves connecting entity-level financial performance with overall enterprise results, requiring a deep understanding of financial statements and regulatory capital models. This position will play a key role in shaping the enterprise capital management function by analyzing GAAP and statutory financial results and providing insights on product, entity, and enterprise performance to senior management and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is working toward or has obtained ASA/FSA, CFA, or CPA designations and thrives in a fast-paced, private equity-backed growth environment.
Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of maintaining capital models, including quarterly updates and assessing potential transaction impacts.
Partner with finance and actuarial teams to develop and enhance capital forecasting models.
Track industry developments and participate in working groups focused on changes in regulatory and rating agency capital requirements.
Prepare and present business plans and reforecasts for both STAT and GAAP reporting.
Develop and refine materials for key stakeholders, including:
Board and Audit Committee financial performance updates
Presentations for rating agencies
Equity and debt investor presentations
MD&A and financial supplements
Build and review rating agency capital models while improving accuracy and control processes.
