Job description

Job Summary:

The Account Executive will manage the entire sales lifecycle, from prospecting to closing deals, targeting senior decision-makers at Federal Defense and Civilian Agencies across the Continental U.S. This role is ideal for a results-oriented professional who thrives in an autonomous environment and is driven to optimize the sales process. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, take ownership of their work, and consistently identify opportunities to improve productivity and achieve outstanding results.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Achieve or exceed assigned sales quotas.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery calls, product demonstrations, trials, IT/legal/procurement reviews, business case development, and closing activities.
  • Generate revenue through the sale of SaaS products.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to refine messaging, strategy, and prospecting channels.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the Team Cymru sales playbook.
  • Directly engage in closing deals with target accounts, including both new and existing business, while driving initiatives for future growth.
  • Gather market feedback and communicate insights to product and technology teams.
  • Foster a positive, motivating, and performance-driven team culture.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, key partners, and competitors.
  • Develop proactive strategies to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  • Meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) and other relevant metrics.
  • Travel to conferences and client sites as needed.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments to implement sales strategies, particularly during the launch of new products or enhancements to existing solutions.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience in targeted, proactive SaaS sales.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Extensive experience selling to enterprise-level Fortune 1000 companies.
  • Background in the cyber intelligence or security industry preferred.
  • Proven success in closing six-figure ACV deals.
  • Experience navigating complex enterprise sales cycles, including IT, legal, and procurement processes.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel as needed to fulfill job responsibilities (approximately <25% travel).
