We are looking for an experienced Business Development Engineer specialising in Microclimate Simulation to join our fast-growing team, working together for a more sustainable built environment.


We are close to doubling our business each year and you'll be in a pivotal role to make this happen. Join us to help grow a business that plays a key role in delivering a more sustainable built environment and a zero-carbon future for us all.

You will be responsible for identifying customer needs/opportunities and helping them find solutions that will allow them to succeed with our software. This is a sales role, working with new customers to grow our position in the market. In this role, you will be working globally with different stakeholders within the construction sector.

This full-time, permanent position is available on a remote basis for candidates based in Europe or the MENA region.


What you will do:

  • Focus on sourcing and dealing with new leads & managing sales of new customers globally.
  • Educate prospects on the value and opportunities in the field.
  • Support our Microclimate software product development and provide relevant feedback to improve the tool.
  • Work with the marketing teams to create and localize key content.
  • Increase our presence globally via different marketing activities like webinars, industry events, and conferences.


What you need:

  • A deep understanding of climatology and/or meteorology, preferably urban climatology.
  • Ideally also modelling background or at least technical proficiency. Experience with Envi-Met software is a plus.
  • Sales experience from technical or environmental fields with an understanding of how urban planning and projects operate.
  • Solid communication skills to convey the benefits of microclimate tools to potential clients including experience in performing product demonstrations.
  • Experience in B2B Sales and Account management with a successful track record of growth.
  • Previous experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, is a plus.
  • Fast learning skills and desire to improve constantly, using what works.
  • Customer- and results-oriented attitude, a hands-on approach and comfortable communicating with different seniority of stakeholders.
  • Very good listening skills and ability to see the situation from a client’s perspective.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English as it is our working language.
