Job Description

NSF is seeking to add a Regulatory Consultant to its growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for compiling and issuing Nutrition Facts tables, ingredient lists, allergen information and any other required information for compliant labelling. As well as providing technical and administrative support services for client driven projects. The successful candidate must be efficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, attention to detail and ability work independently and prioritize to meet various deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Compile and issue Nutrition Facts tables, ingredient lists, allergen information and any other required information for compliant labelling
  • Coordinates and has direct responsibility for a project or specific set of tasks related to the business unit as it pertains to nutrition labelling services and other related programs
  • Provides technical and administrative support services for client driven project activities
  • Organizes and implements administrative systems and procedures performing necessary support duties
  • Draft, edit and prepare correspondence, reports and other material using word processing, spreadsheets and/or databases
  • Prepares and maintains relevant work records, reviews documents, expense reports, timesheets, tracks document control, etc
  • Provides for smooth day-to-day flow of communications within the team including responding to routine inquiries and communicating with established clients to support ongoing projects
  • May coordinate or assist with the coordination of events both on and off premises
  • May act as a liaison for area of responsibility (AOR) with internal and external stakeholders
  • May assist in training staff members and collaborate with others to accomplish AOR goals
  • Participates in courses, conferences and other training opportunities in order to expand regulatory knowledge base

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary school degree in Food Science, Nutrition or related discipline; or equivalent combination of work experience and education
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience that may include knowledge of the principles, practices and regulations pertaining to food labeling
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills

Salary Range: $63,000 - 77,000

The total pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At NSF, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
