Applied Systems, Inc., a global leader in insurance technology, is seeking a talented
Senior Software Developer to join our Riskhandler team. Applied Riskhandler is a SaaS platform designed for Managing General Agents (MGAs)—specialist firms that build and distribute insurance products on behalf of insurers. Our platform equips MGAs with the tools they need to design products, manage policies, handle transactions, integrate with external systems via APIs, record claims, generate reports, and oversee accounting.
With such a broad feature set, our development work is varied, technically rewarding, and directly impacts the insurance market in the United Kingdom and Ireland

What You’ll Do
As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for building and enhancing the Riskhandler application and its supporting services using C#, VB.NET, SQL Server, ASP.NET, and Web API. We follow Agile Scrum methodologies to deliver innovative, high-quality software solutions that transform the insurance industry.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise-scale insurance applications.
- Work within an Agile team, ensuring solutions are scalable, reusable, and maintainable.
- Contribute to software design discussions and architectural decisions.
- Collaborate with other developers and QA engineers to deliver high-quality user stories.
- Refactor and optimize existing code to improve performance and maintainability.
- Adhere to and help refine coding standards and best practices
What You’ll Need To Succeed
We’re looking for someone who:
- Can work remotely or from an Applied Systems Office
Your experience should include some or all of the following:
- 5+ years’ experience in enterprise software development (including placement year) using C# or VB.NET, SQL Server, and Visual Studio.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
- A genuine passion for programming and software craftsmanship.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Experience with Agile Scrum (training or hands-on experience is a plus).
