Each year, we place over 700 trainee optometrists (pre-reg’s) into our businesses and enrol pre-university students onto our Bright Futures Bursary programme.
As a Graduate Recruitment and Engagement Manager, you’ll partner with the retail support teams to deliver resource plans for future talent. You’ll look at the demand for resources in your division and target the strategy appropriately, ensuring we place the right talent in the right roles helping deliver long-term resource solutions, allowing our partners to care for the eye health of our patients.
You’ll drive the university engagement strategy, from working with course leaders to maximise placements in our stores, ensuring enough capacity for these placements. You’ll manage the engagement calendar for university students, hosting events throughout the year, and facilitate our yearly assessment centre programme for approximately 800 students. Collaborating with Early Talent Resourcing Partners, you’ll create recruitment strategies to meet our annual targets for UK and International hires.
Experience in high-volume recruitment and event management would be great. You’ll need a proven track record of senior-level stakeholder relationship management, the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders, and commercial awareness with experience in challenging senior stakeholders. Strong IT skills.
There is travel with this role, it covers the Midlands, North and East of the UK, so in short, from Birmingham up to Manchester and Sheffield and across to Norfolk and down, so a full UK driving license are also required.
