Job Description
Leads a team of Regional Sales Managers who are tasked with overseeing the sales of Cabinetworks Group products within the Lowe’s Channel across the U.S. Manages channel revenue, market share, staffing, expenses & profitability. Participates in the development and the implementation of strategic business plans within the Lowe’s Kitchen Showroom and at the Pro Desk for the Lowe’s channel. Develops and maintains a productive and talented sales organization to “win” in this important retail space.
This is a remote role, however, the new hire must live within a reasonable distance of a major metro airport in the eastern or central time zones.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage team of 4 Regional Sales Managers positioned across the U.S., ensuring each are taking proper steps within their respective region to drive growth for the Cabinetworks Group family of brands at Lowe’s.
- Routinely conduct ride-alongs with each Regional Sales Manager and their Sales Reps, assisting them with proper store calls as well as staying in-tune with store-level activities.
- Responsible for daily management of company and channel-wide goals and adjusting as needed to ensure success on budget commitments.
- Responsible for cultivating and maintaining business relationships with senior members of the Lowe’s Merchant team, Lowe’s Pro Customer team, and Lowe’s Store Operations personnel to support departmental goals and objectives.
- Work closely with internal Customer Care teams and Cabinetworks Group plant managers to ensure seamless communication between the internal Operations team and Field team.
- Assist Regional Sales Managers with appropriately dealing with customer issue resolution.
- Research, analyze and monitor Lowe’s business, sales trends, sales history, advertising/ marketing and make recommendations for increased sales.
- Implement and execute sales policies and practices specific to the Lowe’s channel.
- Analyze and monitor sales against defined metrics, goals and objectives.
- Establish and manage performance goals for the sales team.
- Lead cross-functional teams to increase revenue and market share.
- Work collaboratively with internal counterparts who cover other channels, ensuring strategic initiatives leverage synergies across the organization.
- Participate in forecasting process and oversee the expense budget to ensure compliance with organizational expenditure requirements.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales or related field; or 8 years of selling experience with a minimum of a High School diploma or GED.
- 8 years of experience leading a sales team to include P&L responsibility.
- Proficient in utilizing Salesforce or other POS reporting portals to extract, analyze, and interpret data, creating actionable insights and presenting findings effectively to stakeholders
- Proficient computer skills required, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated successful ability to lead people and get results through others.
- Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with department, cross-functional business teams, and customers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with external customers.
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated successful ability to prioritize and multi-task various conflicting responsibilities.
- Proven negotiations skills.
- Excellent project management and budgeting skills with a deadline orientation and focus.
- Ability to travel up to 60-75%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- MBA.
- Experience in the building industry.
