The Opportunity  - Head of Sales (m/f/d)

This position is in our division Abbott Diabetes Care - Abbott GmbH. We’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology. 

Your Tasks:

  • Achieving sales and market share targets and driving profitable growth in a relevant business
  • Leading, developing, and coaching a high performing sales team of Regional Sales Manager in the German market
  • Developing and managing relationships with high profile customers, accounts, and opinion leaders
  • Representing the business at key internal and external events and at national and international business reviews
  • Successful developing implementation strategy of country product launches
  • Monitoring, analyzing, reporting on competitors’ products and strategies, and driving appropriate business response
  • Develop sales strategy and tactics and drive successful execution
  • Cost center management according to plan and guidelines
  • Anticipating healthcare market developments

Your Qualification:

  • Post graduate diploma or University degree and on-the-job business exposure
  • Proven track of several years of successful leadership
  • Experienced in sales analysis and corresponding strategic sales approaches
  • Experienced in strategy development and translation into tactics and successful execution
  • Experienced in P&L management / forecasting / cost center management
  • Good personal/professional balance and discipline
  • Very good language skills in German and English (written and spoken)
