Client Success Consultant - Accounting Services (BELAY Financial) - Full-time

Job purpose  

The Client Success Consultant (CSC) leads account management excellence, ensuring a seamless experience for BELAY Financial clients and providers. Using financial expertise, the CSC identifies growth opportunities, strengthens client relationships, and drives long-term engagement. By proactively addressing client needs, the CSC enhances satisfaction, expands revenue, and maximizes value for both BELAY and its clients.

The ideal candidate has strong communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills, along with expertise in financial management and account strategy.

As a member of the BELAY Financial Team, you are expected to participate in phone calls and meetings (virtual and onsite), while serving as an example of the company’s mission: BELAY exists to provide solutions that equip our clients with the confidence to climb higher.  

Duties and responsibilities

Client Experience 

  • Cast vision for what the Client/Provider relationship could be long-term. Identify opportunities within engagements, leveraging financial acumen to foster relationships and long-term duration.
  • Manage the onboarding process for each new client.
  • Intentionally and thoughtfully match providers with clients for a successful, long-term relationship.
  • Serve as a “coach/consultant” to our clients and providers, ensuring the most productive and satisfying experience for both parties in the relationship.
  • Strategically manage a client roster, focusing on retention, growth, and duration by maintaining an open line of communication with clients and ensuring every interaction with BELAY is nothing short of exceptional.
  • Embody a growth mindset, and invest time, trust, and expertise to strategically upsell additional solutions offered by BELAY. 
  • Provide insight into accounting nuances, empowering clients to navigate financial complexities with confidence and precision.
  • Effectively oversee the management of client or provider crises and escalate matters when necessary.
  • Collaborate with all necessary individuals regarding contract changes and terminations. 
  • Effectively manage calendar to allow for efficient onboarding of new clients while nurturing the relationships with established clients.
  • Provide honest feedback on provider performance to provide the best accounting services possible to our clients.
  • Communicate in a timely and professional manner.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Create and foster self-managing engagements through resources and coaching.
  • Ensure documentation and communication are current, detailed and accurate (Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, etc.).
  • Provide insight and recommendations to strategically enhance the overall experience by collaborating with leadership and teams across the organization.
  • Conduct routine account reviews with the Director of Accounting Services  to proactively identify sales opportunities and areas of improvement and growth.

Qualifications

The Client Success Consultant must demonstrate responsiveness & professionalism in a way that earns instant credibility and respect. They must own the details and be organizationally and technologically savvy. Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, while performing a variety of tasks is required. Driven, relational, and intuitive people with client-facing experience and understanding will thrive in this role. The candidate should have 2-3 years of experience working with general ledger, accounts receivable/accounts payable functions, and financial reporting.

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience. 
  • Minimum of 2-3 years accounting and/or bookkeeping experience preferred. 
  • Excellent understanding of best financial practices and accounting processes.
  • Must be driven self-starter, a positive thinker, loyal and trustworthy.
  • Attributes of flexibility, creativity, self-discipline, strong organizational skills, and action-orientation are essential for this role.
  • Command presence with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player who is willing and able to “roll-up the shirt sleeves” to get a project done when needed.
  • A high degree of autonomy with the capability of working remotely. 
  • Must be comfortable with video and phone calls as the main forms of communication for optimal rapport and connection.

Working conditions

Belay Financial Corporate, as a virtual company, offers you the ability to work from home full-time. As such, a dedicated and secure workplace, free of distractions is required. Our standard business hours are Monday-Friday. Some roles will require travel.
