Job Summary

The Credit Products-Procedure and Process Analyst I will work closely with the Procedures and Process Leader to ensure the development, documenting, and maintenance of clear, comprehensive procedures and processes for Commercial & Private Banking. The Analyst will support the monitoring of and adherence to any credit policy or regulatory changes and validate the same to safeguard procedures and processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with the organization’s goals and risk management practices. This role is critical in supporting the alignment of Credit Products procedures and processes with credit policy, regulatory standards, and Flagstar Bank’s internal policies, helping to streamline operations and reduce risk.

Pay Range: $64,022 - $83,229 - $102,436

Job Responsibilities:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Procedure Development: Provides support to the Credit Products Procedures leader and team by assisting with the development of detailed and accurate procedures with any supporting guidelines for Commercial & Private Banking, such procedures to include both underwriting and compliance requirements. Assist in a procedural gap assessment across the platform and the development of a roadmap for integrated procedures as systems and processes align across legacy groups.
  • Procedure Maintenance: Support the maintenance of procedures, including adherence to a governance program ensuring their integrity against changes in credit policy or compliance standards.
  • Project Management: Assist in the development of project timelines along with defining the scope, goals, and deliverables related to procedure development; coordinate tasks between team members and other departments; monitor progress and address any roadblocks or delays.
  • Repository Maintenance/Document Control:  Ensure all procedure and supporting guideline documentation is appropriately housed within the Sharepoint repository site. Maintain version control to ensure the Credit Products team always has access to the latest procedures.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge about credit offerings (products and services), risk management, compliance regulations and internal policies and procedures.

  • Performs special projects and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications:

  • Education level required: Undergraduate Degree (4years or equivalent) or 3+ years experience in the financial services or consulting industry.
  • Minimum experience required: 3+ Years of experience in the financial services or consulting industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education level preferred: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) (Business, Finance, or some other related field).
  • Experience with project management.
  • Familiarity with credit products and underwriting practices.

Job Competencies:

  • Application and use of transformation and productivity tools, including JIRA, Visio, and Sharepoint.
  • Self-Motivated: Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying and mitigating operational risks.

  • Occasional travel to hub markets may be required.
