The role:

We are excited to be on the hunt for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as our new Managing Editor. We are looking for highly skilled and experienced Managing News Editor to oversee one or more niche B2C publications in the iGaming and Casino Industry. This strategic role requires strong journalistic expertise, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage a dynamic team of editors and writers. Ideally this candidate is well trusted and connected in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  •  Editorial Management: Oversee the editorial process, ensuring all content meets quality standards and deadlines.
  • Content Strategy: Develop and execute content strategies that align
    with industry trends and company goals.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of deputy editors and
    writers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Hiring and Delegation: Recruit, hire, and delegate tasks to ensure
    efficient workflow and high-quality output.
  • Brand Alignment: Ensure all content aligns with the publication’s
    brand and editorial guidelines.
  • Industry Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and
    developments in the iGaming and Casino Industry. Well connected
    and respected as a journalist

 

Experience:

  • Experience: 5-10 years of journalistic experience, with at least 1-2
    years in a similar editorial role adjacent to the iGaming and Casino
    Industry.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, management, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of the iGaming and Casino or adjacent industries (sports betting, poker), including key players,
    trends, and regulatory environments
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a
    related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in content management systems (CMS)
    and other editorial tools.
