Founded in Chattanooga Tennessee to advance control system technologies in the energy sector, we specialize in turbine control systems, including GE LM2500, LM6000, P&W FT4 and FT8, as well as gas compressors, emissions control technologies and balance of plant systems. As our company grows, we are looking to add dedicated and skilled professionals who are ready to contribute to our development and help enhance our technical capabilities in either Idaho or Tennessee.


The successful candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in the power industry, a strong background in gas turbines and energy storage systems, and the ability to think creatively to develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Formal education is not required, but the candidate must possess a proven track record in the field.


This is a salary plus OT position with base salary ranges of $82,000 to $150,000 and is negotiable, however any salary offer will be based on demonstrated experience. A benefits package is also available.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain control systems for power generation and energy storage facilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex control system issues and provide guidance for resolution.
  • Write, test, and maintain software code for automation systems.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements and optimization.
  • Provide technical support and training to team members.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the power industry, specifically in control systems design and implementation.
  • Expertise in programming languages such as C/C++, and IEC-61131-3 PLC programing.
  • Experience with the use of REST APIs.
  • Experience with Matlab and Simulink (PLC Coder a plus)
  • Strong understanding of control systems architecture, PLCs, SCADA, HMI, and communication protocols.
  • In-depth knowledge of energy storage systems, including battery storage and other emerging technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Available to travel for on-site project and field service support, as needed.
  • Project management experience is a plus.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with renewable energy storage systems, such as solar or wind power generation.
  • Gas turbine controls (Woodward, GE MarkVI/e).
  • Aero DLE Mapping.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and standards, such as IEEE, NERC, NERC CIP, or FERC.



Salary:

$82,000 - $150,000 Per Year
