Your mission should you choose to accept it.

As Head of AI Engineering, you will join the tech-management team as the leader for AI development initiatives, shaping and executing our AI strategy. You’ll guide teams in building AI applications that reason, adapt, and drive real impact. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will mentor teams, enhance developer productivity, and ensure best practices in AI development, software engineering, and system design.

You will play a critical role in boosting developer experience, fostering AI-first product thinking, and embedding governance and ethics into AI-driven systems. Additionally, you will drive advanced AI architectures, integrating agentic AI techniques, AI-powered automation, and analytics into decision-making workflows.


Responsibilities.

Technical Leadership & AI Strategy

  • Architect state-of-the-art AI applications leveraging advanced prompting techniques, agentic frameworks, structured/unstructured data access, AI analytics, ML training and fine-tuning, and tool interactions.
  • Provide deep expertise in Machine Learning (ML), Large Language Models (LLMs), Graph Neural Networks (GNNs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and multi-modal AI (text, vision, structured data).
  • Guide teams on AI-first application design, ensuring scalability, robustness, and reasoning capabilities in AI-driven products.
  • Lead the design of multi-agent architectures and chain-of-thought reasoning, ensuring AI applications leverage advanced automation and self-improving workflows.
  • Maintain strong software architecture and design principles, integrating Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and metadata-driven development into AI solutions.
  • Drive efficient MLOps & AI DevOps, ensuring high-velocity, high-quality AI development with automated monitoring, retraining, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Seamlessly integrate AI-driven analytics and Business Intelligence (BI) methodologies, ensuring AI enhances decision-making and operational efficiency.

AI Governance & Ethics

  • Implement responsible AI practices, ensuring transparency, fairness, and bias mitigation in AI models.
  • Advocate for a human-empowered AI vision, ensuring AI augments rather than replaces human decision-making.
  • Establish AI governance frameworks to monitor and control AI system behavior, ensuring ethical and regulatory compliance.
  • Champion explainable AI (XAI) and AI observability, ensuring stakeholders understand and trust AI-driven decisions.

Team Leadership & Developer Experience

  • Build, manage and mentor a globally distributed team of AI and BI engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Actively support and improve developer productivity, ensuring seamless AI integration into software development workflows.
  • Enable AI engineers to work efficiently within a domain-driven and metadata-driven development approach, optimizing for modularity and reusability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership

  • Partner with engineering, product, data science, and ScalePad OS teams to align AI solutions with business objectives and drive measurable impact.
  • Lead by influence, effectively communicating complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders explaining the benefits, limitations and value it can bring in production system
  • Advocate for AI-first product thinking, ensuring AI capabilities are embedded seamlessly into customer-facing features.
  • Work with Strategy and Business Intelligence teams to integrate AI-driven analytics into strategic decision-making and enterprise intelligence workflows.

  • Strong technical depth in AI, ML, LLMs, graph-based AI, multi-modal AI, and software architecture principles.
  • Proven record of software development excellence, seamlessly integrating AI advancements into engineering execution and product impact
  • Proven ability to bridge the gap between AI research, engineering execution, and product impact.
  • Deep experience with MLOps, AI DevOps, vector databases, embeddings, and automated AI workflows.
  • Experience in AI governance and ethics, ensuring compliance, fairness, and responsible AI practices.
  • Strong executive presence, able to engage and influence C-level stakeholders while aligning AI strategy with business goals.
  • Experience managing individual contributors (ICs) and globally distributed teams, ensuring high performance in fast-paced environments.
