THE ROLE 
The Senior Product Marketing Manager for Customer Success Cloud role is a strategic and impactful role for the company and will support the rapid expansion and market success of this global solution.
 
As a key member of the go-to-market team for Certinia’s CS Cloud offering s/he will drive the positioning and strategic marketing plan, cross-product and individual offering programs and field investments, and sales training and enablement. This includes framing and aligning the industry point of view that brings together Certinia’s Professional Services Automation and Customer Success cloud products for services firms, with a unified and differentiated message. 
This role will report to the Senior Director of Product Marketing and works across Sales, Marketing, Product Strategy, and Services to support and deliver the global growth strategy driving Certinia’s short-term and long-term growth plans.
Success will be measured by completeness of positioning and solutions strategy, the ability to drive strategic vision, brand awareness, market adoption, competitive differentiation, market share, and ultimately revenue and valuation goals.
 
This individual will be required to establish a meaningful level of business understanding and domain expertise of our target markets, including core business workflows, value propositions, and market opportunities. This person will think strategically while also driving detailed execution and managing strategic deliverables.

WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE 
 
  • Deliver the “Why Certinia” storyline via internal point of view alignment, category definition, and awareness building.
  • Set strategy in partnership with Sr Director, Product & Solution Marketing and develop go-to-market messaging and programs for CS Cloud in support of multiple selling motions (varying market segments, cross-product solutions, new vertical markets.)
  • Deliver unique and differentiated thought leadership presentations at conferences and customer events
  • Develop plans for and enable Campaigns and Field Marketing teams through differentiated and persuasive content creation across multiple mediums including blogs, webinars, white papers and presentations.
  • Enable Sales with clear positioning, messaging, training, as well as the content used across presentations, campaigns, field marketing, sales engagements, and marketing campaigns.
  • Provide product and value-based training to the sales organization that includes a focus on business acumen, differentiated capabilities, and competitive positioning.
  • Work closely with Marketing to build and deploy analyst and influencer-based visibility and validation for new market and product categories.
  • Coordinate across Product, Sales, Marketing, Services, and Engineering to set messaging and positioning, launch plans, sales enablement and the right programs / campaigns to drive sales funnel with marketing.
  • Be the voice of the customer to market-facing leadership and development teams.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or similar field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 8+ years direct product marketing experience combined with selling or marketing a SaaS/Cloud solution and knowledge of the Professional Services and Customer Success industry.
  • Excellent verbal presentation and communication skills and proven marketing writing skills.
  • Driven, self-motivated, and always looking for ways to continuously optimize our go-to-market approach and execution.
  • Highly creative, decisive and driven to win.
  • Great balance of strategic thinking while executing with speed and precision.
  • Business acumen and results oriented.
WHAT ELSE WOULD BE GREAT 
  • Experience and understanding with work solutions for midsize and enterprise companies.
  • Ability to achieve and exceed business plan metrics while developing new market and product categories.
  • Experience in translating complex product discussions and updates into clear, value-based messaging and sales artifacts.
  • Experience working with sales leadership and the overall field organization to support revenue growth and competitive differentiation.
  • A collaborative team player able to influence / manage through well-developed, cross-functional communication skills and cultural awareness in a matrix organization.
  • A blend of technical understanding with the ability to deliver the right high-level message.
