Our Opportunity:

The Records Auditor will provide support to Purdue University Global.  Building on Purdue University's mission to provide greater access to affordable, high-quality education, Purdue Global is a public, nonprofit institution offering a world-class education online.

Job Summary:

The Records Auditor is a member of the Office of the Registrar and is primarily responsible for completing various tasks related to updating, maintaining, sending, and verifying student records.   The daily responsibilities of each Records Auditor will vary depending on the team to which they have been assigned.  This position is expected to conduct this work to the highest standards of confidentiality, accuracy, integrity, timeliness, and service.

 

Successful candidates in this role will be available to work a 4-hour shift between 8am-6pm EST, Monday - Friday.

What to expect in this role:

The Records Auditor performs departmental tasks, adhering to documented processes, efficiency/productivity metrics, and established service levels to ensure the balance of extraordinary service, accuracy, and efficiency.  These tasks may include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Processing grade changes in accordance with policy
  • Fulfilling transcript, enrollment verification, and deferment requests
  • Auditing records for enrollment and graduation requirements
  • Printing and mailing diplomas and related materials
  • Conducting email interactions with the goal of extraordinary customer service
  • Receiving and processing incoming documents and routing them to the next steps in processes
  • Processing status changes and similar updates to student records
  • Archiving and digitizing files

  • Identifying problems, improvements, and errors and proactively and professionally raising these to the attention of appropriate management

Experience:
  • Associate’s Degree
  • 2-3  years of clerical and/or administration experience
What we're looking for:
  • Ability to learn and explain how student information systems, content management systems, and web applications work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, with specific knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets
  • High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with light supervision, balance competing demands for time, and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Ability to follow processes, collaborate, work effectively on a team, and maintain a positive attitude
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a professional demeanor with people at all levels within the organization and from diverse backgrounds.
Additional Information:
  • This is an hourly position.  The target wage for this position is $19.00/hour.
  • This position is part-time and remote (work from home) and can be worked anywhere in the U.S.
  • Purdue University Global will not sponsor employment authorization for this position.

  • FLSA: Non-Exempt (Eligible For Overtime)
