Responsibilities
As a Training Manager, you are responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and facilitating training sessions that focus on the principles, techniques, safety, and procedures related to the telecommunications industry. Remote role: 75% Travel Between Oregon & Washington State (Must be located in OR or WA to be considered)
Compensation $70-90k+/yr
Purpose: The trainer will provide professional development and training related to the wireless tower industry to MNS (MasTec Network Solutions) employees. The primary responsibilities of the trainer will include assisting in developing curriculum and teaching new skills, strategies, or systems to Self-Perform Crews, workers and new hires in MNS. As a trainer you will keep MNS’s employees current with innovative approaches and best practices. The trainer will work with other members of the training group to develop training courses that align with the MNS organization’s culture and strategic goals.
Job Functions:
Perform ILT (Instructor Led Training) at multiple office locations for Self-Perform Crews and New Hires.
Conduct OJT (On the Job training) visits to train crews, foremen and related field staff promoting Safety, Quality and Production.
Create relevant Training Bulletins and Methods of Procedure.
Work with the Director of Technical Training and other trainers to develop pro-active production-based skills initiatives.
Implement, interact and maintain active communication processes with Operations Management.
Conduct classroom training of company personnel and subcontractor’s personnel to ensure compliance with MNS policies and procedures.
Assign web-based training and verify employee training is up to date. Forecast future training.
Obtain all training certificates for all Instructor Lead training classes
Ensure implementation and tracking of in house training programs.

Qualifications
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
Estimated travel minimal sixty percent of the time.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Must be in good physical condition with ability to pull combined weight of body and equipment up a vertical tower.
Must be comfortable climbing to various heights
Must be able to bend, squat, twist and sit for extended periods of time as needed.
Skills:
Bi-lingual a plus. Must be proficient in reading, writing speaking Spanish and English.
A self-starter mentality, yet extremely team oriented.
Personable with the ability to establish strong relationships with others.
Strong presentation skills.
Strong professional communication skills across all media types, both internally and externally.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
Motivated, self-starter with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Be a positive reinforcement to the MNS workforce.
Possess the ability to be a coach and mentor to other employees.
Certifications / Qualifications:
Minimum of 5+ years in the telecommunications tower industry.
Must have actual hands on physical experience climbing, building, troubleshooting wireless communication sites.
Must be willing to climb to heights for training purposes and in the field OJT training.
Must have a valid vehicle driver’s license and driving record that meets criteria to drive as outlined in the MasTec Network Solutions’ vehicle policy
Must have valid authorization to work in the US
Certification in Fall Protection Instructor, Rescue/ CPR Instructor, Rigging instructor a plus.
OSHA 500, 510 and 501 certification a plus.
Can travel within the region is expected.
