Job description

A Global Dutch-Owned Audiovisual Electronics Manufacturer is seeking a Senior Training Specialist. The role involves planning and conducting training for customer-facing employees (T1, T2, T3 teams), as well as product and technology sessions for internal teams and partners. Responsibilities include contributing to the company's onboarding and employee development programs, serving as a subject matter expert on products and technology, and providing technical guidance on cross-functional projects. Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently planning, hosting, and conducting product and technology training sessions/events for selected employees through the company's onboarding program or by request from teams such as the Commercial Excellence team or Global Operations. Additionally, planning and hosting project-specific or content-specific product and tech training for selected company partners.
  • Contributing to the content creation and general maintenance of the company's onboarding and upgrading employee programs.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert on products, technology, and/or processes for internal teams and providing guidance to other departments as needed.
  • Participating in ad hoc project work (including cross-functional projects) where technical guidance and input is requested from other members of the company's headquarters.
  • Plan training for new and existing employees across Global Operations and selected departments, working with supervisors, managers, Power Users, HR, and Commercial Excellence, using the company’s onboarding program and a variety of internal and third-party content, including certifications.
  • Host training sessions utilizing experts from R&D, Quality, and Product Management, or conduct the training yourself for employees in customer-facing roles, focusing on product, technology, soft skills, or processes.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of new training content and support the expansion of the company’s onboarding program.
  • Develop e-learning modules for customer-facing roles and partners, with content reviewed by the Technical Content Team, and uploaded to platforms like SalesHub or Zendesk.
  • Assist in enhancing online public product content in collaboration with key stakeholders such as Marketing and Product Management.
  • Provide input for the company’s Knowledge Base (Zendesk) and collaborate on updates to FAQs, user manuals, and other public content.
  • Help create and maintain Virtual Reality (VR) training content for customer-facing employees.
  • Review new and existing technical documents, including datasheets, tech specs, user manuals, and FAQs, working with the Technical Content Team and stakeholders.
  • Collect feedback and provide input on future product developments, sharing insights with Product Management.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on products, technology, and processes for teams across the company as needed.
  • Distribute product samples within the team for upcoming launches, coordinating feedback through the Early Adopters Program and ensuring new hires receive in-market product samples.


Requirements
Education requirements:
  • Mid to long educational background
  • Speak and write English flawlessly

Professional requirements/experience:
  • Minimum 5 years experience from a similar position or from a position in technical support or technical sales
  • Could also be a background from in-market product management, a position as technical writer, user experience specialist, IT Support Specialist or AV Support Specialist
  • Preferably have experience planning and hosting/conducting (face-to-face) training
  • Preferably have experience constructing training material
  • Profoundly understand technical products and IT software/hardware
  • Experience with and/or skills within the following is a plus, but not a requirement:
  • Flawless Chinese verbal and written skills
  • Experience within AV or IT software and hardware sales and/or support
  • Skills and/or experience within VR and/video content creation
  • Experienced MS Office user
  • Used to a mix of work locations
