DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
About the role
The Business Development Executive will be dedicated to sell new vendors and expand sales for key vendors added recently to our portfolio. The position will be focusing on (1) Revenue attainment for the selected product lines sold to existing partners and (2) Revenue attainment for those product lines sold to New Partners.
This position is about relentlessly hunting for partners that could sell those product lines, using marketing campaigns, organizing events, webinars, and reaching out to partners, highlighting to them the value of the addition of new product lines to their portfolio as an extension of or a replacement of other less attractive solutions.
The Business Development Executive will operate with a high degree of autonomy, leveraging industry experience and a deep understanding of vendor and partner needs to develop relationships, identify new business opportunities, ensure the satisfaction and loyalty of the partners recruited, and then handing them over to Account Managers when the initial transactions have occurred.
This role will report to the Regional Sales Director for the west region.
Key Responsibilities of a Business Development Executive:
- New Vendor Sales: Build solid and successful relationships with new key vendors targeted to be able to become a Subject Matter Expert on their solutions.
- Target Partners: Using different techniques, such as campaigns, events, webinars, pitching calls, go and hunt for the existing partners most appropriate to sell the solutions from the selected vendors, and identify new partners to work with. Understand the complex business environments of these partners, anticipate their evolving needs, and position our offerings as essential to their success.
- Pre-Sales: Successfully deliver vendor presentations to prospective partners / deliver vendor demos and product overview to stimulate the business with those existing or new partners.
- New Partner On-Boarding: Bring new partners in, educate them on the level of services provided by Exclusive Networks and the unique capabilities that differentiate us from the competition.
- Partner Enablement: Work closely with Marketing, Business Development, Operations, or Engineering to ensure partner enablement up to the first transactions being processed on the new product lines.
- Market Insight and Influence: Maintain an expert level knowledge about industry trends, challenges facing major partners, and competitive landscapes. Use this knowledge to position our company as a leader in addressing these challenges and to influence the search for existing and new partners.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE |

- Extensive experience in sales, with a proven track record of success in managing large, complex partner relationships and developing new partnerships.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills, capable of identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities in a dynamic market.
- Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire and guide teams towards achieving shared goals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, adept at engaging with senior executives and decision-makers.
- Deep understanding of the industry, including current trends, challenges, and competitive dynamics.
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field, with a preference for advanced degrees or professional certifications relevant to the industry.

- Exempt, Base Salary plus Commission between $130K to $150K OTE
