Job description

We’re seeking an experienced Claims Property Advocate, Large Loss professional to help us settle large property losses quickly and efficiently.


As a Claims Property Advocate specializing in Large Loss, you’ll help us settle claims quickly and efficiently, surpassing customer expectations along the way. You’ll use your knowledge and sharp interpersonal skills to explain coverage decisions in plain English, without relying on insurance jargon.


In This Role, You’ll


  • Investigate and handle claims from start to finish
  • Pay claims efficiently and fairly while maintaining a high level of customer service
  • Settle all aspects of a claim including dwelling, contents, and ALE
  • Handle claims accurately according to the policy, and follow all required state compliance guidelines
  • Follow best practices around reporting large losses to internal and external business partners
  • Review mitigation and pack out bills
  • Identify subrogation opportunities within claims-handling process
  • Communicate with customers by phone and email to settle claims
  • Organize and prioritize daily tasks in order to resolve claim-based questions
  • Be a subject matter expert in all perils


What You’ll Need


  • Minimum of 5+ years of technical claims handling experience, with a background in fire, water, and weather claims, a must
  • Extensive experience handling large losses of all kinds $50k+
  • Proven expertise in handling large inventories of contents
  • Prior knowledge in dwelling damage
  • Experience working with large national property service vendors like Serv-Pro, First Team, Contractor Connection, and Crawford
  • Experience navigating potential fraud within the claims handling experience
  • A passion for outstanding customer experience
  • Comfortable with and adaptable to new technology and business tools
  • Licensed as a Property & Casualty adjuster in your resident state
  • Enthusiasm about learning and adapting to the exciting world of AI-a commitment to exploring this field is a fundamental part of our culture
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Lemonade’s US base salary range for this full time position is $72,000-$94,500.00 annually plus equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
