As a Relationship Manager II at The Standard, you will be providing best in class and profitable customer service to channel relationships, plan decision-makers, and plan participants for assigned accounts, and to achieve business growth and customer retention.   Support advisors and employers virtually.  

 

Job Summary 

  • Develop and manage effective relationships through touchpoints, phone calls, professional negotiation, responsive communication, and problem resolution.   

  • Work with customer (advisors and plan sponsors), and channel relationships to understand their concerns and needs, and as needed, act as liaison between internal departments and the customer to initiate plan improvements and resolve issues.   

  • Inform the customer in a timely manner of industry and regulatory changes and explain the impact on the client.   

  • Provide plan design consulting services as needed.  

  • Drive client retention by providing value add information to advisors and plan sponsors, delivering information such as plan reviews through virtual meetings, as requested by advisor.   

  • Provide investment advisory services, including but not limited to fund lineup updates, additional pre-approved content related to investments.   

  • Coordinate the installation of assigned new groups with the advisor and plan sponsor and channel relationships. This may include assisting in the data collection process, managing the new business submission process, delivering documents and agreements, communicating with the plan sponsor and channel relationship, and other activities related to a new plan.  

  • Deliver all aspects of the enrollment, re-enrollment, and education process, during both installation of new group, and ongoing. Includes scheduling, determining content, preparing for, scheduling virtual employee meetings as needed, and delivering meeting as needed.  

  • Participate in sales presentations as a relationship manager when requested by Regional Vice President.    

  • Promote new products and services to advisors and plan sponsors.  

 

Skills and Background You’ll Need 

  • Experience:  3 to 5 years demonstrated experience in the retirement industry, with preferred relationship management experience in the retirement plans field or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience. Knowledge of qualified plans, ERISA, and qualified plan investments.  

  • Professional certification required:   You'll be required to transfer or obtain a Series 6, 63. If you do not already hold these qualifications, it is our expectation that you obtain them as a condition of employment. The Standard will provide study materials for any FINRA or State securities examinations and

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

 

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

Base: $95,000+, Depending on Experience, Incentive eligible
