This is a remote position.

Schedule:
  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm EST with a 1 hour unpaid break

We are looking for a Senior Bookkeeper to oversee and review bookkeeping tasks, manage payroll and sales tax filings, and lead monthly financial reviews with complete accuracy. This role also involves coaching junior bookkeepers, creating SOPs, managing client communication through Keeper App, and building tools to improve client meetings. The ideal candidate has strong bookkeeping experience, high attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and ensure accuracy in sales tax filings & remittances
  • Oversee payroll processing, managing schedules, compliance, and accuracy
  • Review and correct junior bookkeepers' work to ensure quality control
  • Manage and optimize Keeper App software, including handling questions between clients and the team
  • Complete monthly financial reviews with 100% accuracy
  • Record and send financial review videos to the owner for month-end recaps
  • Create tools to run financial review meetings with clients, including automating reports, setting agendas, and structuring meetings for better client understanding
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for key bookkeeping tasks
  • Collaborate with the office manager & operations manager for smooth workflow
  • Possess high-level English proficiency (C1 or C2 level) for clear client communication
  • Remove the owner from daily operations

  • Zero tax penalties from late or incorrect filings

  • Monthly close completed within 5 business days

Qualified candidates will have:

  • 7+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a firm with multiple clients
  • QuickBooks Online Advanced Certification
  • Strong experience overseeing multi-state sales tax & payroll processing
  • Proven experience reviewing & coaching junior bookkeepers
  • Experience using & managing Keeper App, including handling client-team communication within the platform
  • Ability to complete financial reviews with 100% accuracy
  • Experience recording and presenting financial reports via video
  • Experience creating tools & resources for financial review meetings with clients
  • High-level English proficiency (C1 or C2 level)
  • Bonus: Experience automating bookkeeping tasks (e.g., API connections)
