Job Description

Step into a pivotal role as a Bookkeeper for an innovative fitness equipment supplier. This position offers an exciting opportunity to streamline financial processes and contribute significantly to the company’s growth trajectory. You’ll work closely with the financial controller, leveraging your expertise in Xero and Excel to manage crucial financial operations. Your role will be instrumental in supporting the company’s expansion in both franchise partnerships and direct-to-consumer sales. Responsibilities
  • Manage and optimize financial accounts, ensuring accuracy in reconciliations and data entry
  • Prepare comprehensive month-end reports and BAS statements, providing critical insights for business decision-making
  • Collaborate with the financial controller to streamline accounting processes and improve financial efficiency
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated pricing models and financial calculations using advanced Excel techniques
  • Support inventory management processes, potentially working with specialized software like Unleashed
  • Contribute to financial strategy discussions, offering insights to drive business growth
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and practices, maintaining the integrity of financial records

Requirements
  • 5+ years experience with Xero accounting software, with the ability to maximize its features for business benefit
  • Advanced Excel skills, particularly in financial modeling and data analysis
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards and practices, preferably with relevant certifications
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new systems, such as inventory management software
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to suggest process improvements
  • Experience in the retail or e-commerce sector is a plus, but not required
