Purpose of Role:

The Dealer Development Manager at Weir will focus on building and strengthening partnerships with dealers in the sand and aggregates market across the Southwest U.S., preferably based in Texas or a surrounding state. This role involves identifying and onboarding dealers, ensuring collaboration, and providing technical, product, and promotional support. The ideal candidate should be passionate about growth, skilled in managing dealer networks, and experienced in promoting machinery. Key Responsibilities:

Dealer Network Development

  • Identify and onboard top-tier dealers in strategic regions, prioritizing markets with significant growth potential.
  • Evaluate prospective dealers to ensure alignment with Weir’s product portfolio, market strategy, and revenue goals.
  • Formalize partnerships through representation agreements, outlining clear expectations and performance metrics.

Commercial Relationships

  • Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with dealer partners, serving as their primary contact within Weir.
  • Act as a pro solver for dealer challenges, and provide dealers with ongoing technical, product, and promotional support to maximize performance.

Revenue and Profitability Growth

  • Develop dealer-specific sales plans to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share targets.
  • Collaborate with dealers on marketing and sales initiatives that drive equipment and aftermarket sales.

Aftermarket Collaboration

  • Work closely with aftermarket teams to ensure dealers are equipped to support customers with service, spare parts, and product lifecycle solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance aftermarket offerings through dealer channels.

Planning and Reporting

  • Create and execute a strategic dealer development plan, establishing clear coverage, revenue, and dealer performance goals.
  • Monitor dealer performance and provide actionable insights through regular reporting to leadership.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform dealer strategies and growth opportunities.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience promoting machinery or equipment in the sand and aggregates market.
  • Proven success in managing sales channels, building dealer networks, and maintaining productive dealer relationships.
  • Strong understanding of dealer operations, representation agreements, and market segmentation.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
