Role Name: Full-time Bookkeeper/Accountant

Schedule:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • 8 AM to 5 PM with an hour's lunch break, five days a week

Job Description

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant to take charge of our financial operations. In this pivotal role, you’ll be the cornerstone of our financial management, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all our accounting processes. Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks, ensuring all daily transactions are properly recorded and balanced
  • Take charge of the payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payment for all employees
  • Generate and analyze comprehensive monthly financial reports, providing valuable insights to guide business decisions
  • Perform daily balance checks to maintain financial accuracy and identify any discrepancies promptly
  • Collaborate with management to streamline financial processes and improve overall efficiency
  • Handle various administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the business
  • Assist in preparing financial documents for tax purposes, leveraging your expertise in U.S. accounting practices
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards
Requirements
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping and accounting, with a strong focus on U.S. financial practices
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and other relevant accounting software
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment
  • Comfortable working U.S. hours and adapting to the Central Time Zone
  • Experience in tax preparation or working with a tax solutions firm is a plus
  • Proven track record of maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive financial information
